Where to eat in Tooting’s Markets

Venturing into London’s SW17 has never been cooler. According to last year’s Lonely planet survey, it is actually one of the top ten coolest places in the WORLD. Fast forward to 2018 and its evolving at speed. Tooting’s markets are the epitome of ‘up-and-coming’ and are full of buzzing hotspots offering a colourful range of food and drink.

Head inside Broadway Market Tooting in the evenings to check out new openings, random bars and quirky restaurants nestled amongst more than 100 stalls including a pet shop and butchers. Perch on stools in micro-wine bar Henny’s or take a seat around the chefs cooking up a seasonal storm in our favourite seasonal British eatery, Plot Kitchen.

Then, pop next door to Tooting Market and check out Boom Bap for late night tunes, burgers and booze (aptly described by them as ‘dropping beats and flipping meats’). If you’re in the mood for something a little more civilised, Unwined offers an ever-changing menu inspired by top notch and affordable wines. More morning lark than night owl? Head for an Aussie inspired brunch at Brickwood Coffee.
